Michael Dorman, Director of Business Development

Michael leads strategic partnerships and organizational growth initiatives for Above Consulting. With over 25 years of experience spanning business development, finance, and public-sector collaboration, he brings deep expertise in building cross-sector relationships that support sustainable economic development.

Prior to joining Above Consulting, Michael served as a Business and Financial Advisor at CIBC, where he managed client portfolios and advised small businesses on growth and financial strategy. He later worked with Infrastructure Ontario, partnering with municipalities and nonprofit organizations to design and implement programs that strengthened local economies and community development efforts.

Now based in Canada and Japan, Michael supports Above Consulting’s institutional partnerships and long-term expansion strategy.
